What we count

We count visits to learn which stories help. No ads, no selling, and you choose.

Google Analytics, only if you say yes

We use Google Analytics 4. It loads only after you click “Sure, count me”. Before that, or after “No thanks”, no Google script runs on this site.

When it is on, it counts the pages you view and these clicks:

  • Team bingo: making a card, stamping a square, and downloading, sharing or printing it.
  • Translator: translating an update, and sharing the result.
  • Sharing: opening the share menu, the network you pick, sharing a quote, copying an image.
  • Newsletter: sending the sign-up form.

None of this carries what you type: not your team name, your squares, the update you paste or your email. Page addresses go to Google without the parts that can hold your text. Ad features and Google signals are off. Google Analytics sets cookies whose names start with _ga; if you change your answer to no, we delete them.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends either signal, we take it as “No thanks”. You won't see the question, and neither Google Analytics nor PostHog loads.

PostHog, without cookies

We also use PostHog to count page views and the clicks listed above. It runs in cookieless mode: it stores nothing in your browser, so there is no question to answer. PostHog tells visits apart with a hash it makes on its server from your network address and browser, and that hash changes every day. It does not record your screen, your mouse or what you type, and page addresses lose the parts that can hold your text. It talks to PostHog's EU servers through t.statustick.com.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

The site runs on Cloudflare. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits for everyone, without cookies.

The translator

We don't keep what you paste. The text goes to the AI model that writes the answer, and the answer comes back to your screen. Cloudflare's AI Gateway, which sits in between, caches each answer for up to a day, so the same update gets the same answer. Its request logging is off. To keep the hourly limit, we count translations per network address for about an hour. Your text never goes to Google Analytics or PostHog.

Change your mind

Use “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page. Your choice is saved in this browser only.
